I’d be absurdly wealthy if I was paid every time a teacher said, “Nolan, stop raising your hand and let other people answer and ask questions.”
Sunday school through college taught me that I have a memory that plays with new and old information, the patience to sit with anyone of any skill level and make them feel seen to help them understand, and the courage to call out preachers and professors who spew propaganda and dogma instead of the Truth.
Institutions aren’t fond of that, but real people are.
An old mystic said, “Before enlightenment, I chopped wood and carried water. After enlightenment, I chopped wood and carried water.”
The industries of spirituality and religion are designed to keep you in a state of seeking, of doubt, and mindless consumption. Please stop that.
We have the tools and technology to answer your questions and solve your problems now, not in some afterlife, let’s use them. You already have everything you need, you just needed some one to fight alongside you.
I wouldn’t have made the mistakes I have if I was raised with the tools and knowledge that I teach to my clients now. Those tools are getting passed on to my daughter and will make her life better, but she needs people who are on the same page. Please consider having access and proficiency with what I teach so that she can have the best humans to grow up with, live alongside, and create a new world together.
What do you want right now? That’s what matters the most when something goes wrong.
Whether it’s a sweet treat, your 10 year plan for world conquest, or the actual solution to a problem; what we desire in the here and now is the only compass that needs to be followed and calibrated.
What you would do for yourself, when no one else is around to join or judge you are your highest values. That is what you need to align your moment to moment desires with to get what you want.
Values are anything you can do, be, or experience for yourself. Everything else is outside of your control, or are just universally good things that everyone wants.
Clients can’t tell me what they want most or what their values are without a definition of right and wrong. Try 2 things:
Practice Non-aggression, don’t harm people, any form of harm is theft. Don’t steal and whatever else you want is by definition right.
Practice Self-defense, the only other way we accrue bad karma or sin is if we’re being stolen from and we don’t defend ourselves. The first line of defense is the word “NO”.
Conventional “wisdom“ fails to get results. The stories we were told growing up don’t match the world we live in and what we’ve experienced. Any form of improvement and the steps it takes to get there are more important than how or why those steps work.
Your desires and your dreams have been the last on your priorities list for too long. You want to center your life around things that truly matter to you and make you breathe, loosen your shoulders, and feel at peace. The problem is that you don’t know how to do that and not be a bad person.
- Self Preservation: You do anything and everything to advance yourself at the cost of everyone else.
- Moral Relativism: You believe there are no objective standards of Right and Wrong.
- Social Darwinism: You believe some people deserve and are destined to rule others who are “less fit.”
- Eugenics: You believe those “destined rulers” get to decide who lives and dies.
If you agree those are wrong, we should work together and start you on a path for your highest and best good.
