The title of "wizard" was reluctantly accepted after my fist year in business. No one could really describe what they experienced in session, and so they called me a wizard. It's also an attempt to not take myself so seriously.
Many in this industry create mini-cults of personality around themselves and I find that unhelpful for myself and my clients. Wizard is both humorous, and an earnest attempt to generate a new position that hasn't been around for the past 600 years. Even though wizards of the renaissance and antiquity were at the heart of building the foundation of modern civilization.
Ultimately, my clients pay me to have deep and often hard conversations. It can help individuals improve their self-awareness, develop new skills, create a plan for achieving their goals, and overcome obstacles that may be holding them back from success. But, I've spent 19,256 hours of my life trying to figure out the nature of the world we live in and how to live a good life in it. I'd rather save you time, money, and heart break in that pursuit for yourself.
While I have a vast personal library of almost 1000 books, I prefer to center my sessions around the the heart of what people presume are financial, inter-personal, or self-improvement problems. I use analog tools, research, and lots of questions to unpack what you want, align it with what you value, and make sure it aligns with a baseline ethical position that continues to make my own and other people's lives better.
